Still, only one account out of the two is showing up, whereas in the past all accounts (I had 4) showed up.Īnyone else have any ideas about why some of the Google Drive accounts might not be showing up as connected servers (under "localhost") and what could potentially jolt them into connecting? I added a second account to the Google Drive for Desktop (takes up to 4) a couple days ago and it didn't show up on the desktop as a connected server until today. I can also get an "alias" / shortcut icon on the desktop, but that's not what I need, I need Google Drive to show up as a connected server (usually under "localhost") on the desktop. I tried all the suggestions that you listed in the past and after your post, still not showing up as a connected server. The main issue is Google Drive is not showing up as a "connected server" (see Finder's General preferences, "Connected servers" should be checked), not just getting an icon on the desktop. Even with the same macOS version, can't definitively say it's not an Apple issue from the fact that it works for someone and not for others. It seems to be the command line tools that are having trouble coping for some reason.Following up on earlier. Note that browsing the directories in question with mac's Finder seems to work fine - the directories are all there. Interestingly, if I cd into the directories that cause issues, and then try find or ls, it seems to work.Īny idea what is going on here? What magic is google drive file stream using such that directories can't be recursed with find or ls, but you can cd into them and then use those commands? However, this errors out for many sub-directories, with messages like

I am attempting to get a list of all of the files that were synced with find /Volumes/GoogleDrive/My Drive/folder I've just synched a large (~50gb?) google drive to my local OSX 10.14.5 (Mojave), using Google Drive File Stream v.32.
